Ching-Yi Lin
Ching-Yi Lin is active as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Taiwan. As a teaching assistant to the internationally renowned violin Professor Mauricio Fuks, she taught his undergraduate and graduate students at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She has also been an instructor in the IU String Academy, teaching violin and group lessons, and working closely with professors Mimi Zweig and Brenda Brenner. In 2008-09, she acted as a co-researcher, violin instructor, and piano accompanist for the Fairview Project-- a research project designed to assess how underprivileged first graders can benefit from learning the violin. Her other principal teachers include Fredell Lack (University of Houston), Nelli Shkolnikova (IU), and Boris Kuschnir (Vienna Conservatory). Ching-Yi currently serves as the concertmaster for the Bowling Green Western Symphony Orchestra and is Professional - In - Residence at the Western Kentucky University, where she teaches in both the pre-college and college programs.
